Founding Software Engineer
About this role
Join a seed-stage, YC-backed insurtech startup as a founding engineer to build AI-powered claims automation agents. You'll own core platform components end-to-end—from eval pipelines and model reliability to document parsing and agent infrastructure—on a small, high-velocity team where your decisions directly shape the product.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end platform components including evaluation pipelines, model reliability systems, document parsing, and agent execution infrastructure
- Design and ship an evaluation platform that detects regressions before customers encounter them, with per-run evals and automated regression detection
- Build reliability systems including retries, circuit breakers, failover mechanisms, observability, and canary deployments
- Collaborate with forward-deployed engineers to rapidly spec, build, and ship customer-driven solutions
- Shape developer platform tooling, CI/CD workflows, and coding agent integrations to increase team velocity
