About this role

Own the San Francisco community and GTM strategy for an early-stage open-source MLOps company as a solo founder-backed role. You'll launch and grow a technical meetup series, evangelize through events and content, and convert authentic developer relationships into measurable pipeline—blending community building, developer relations, and growth.

What you'll do

  • Launch and scale a recurring SF ML infrastructure meetup from zero into a must-attend community event
  • Represent the company at Bay Area AI/ML conferences, hackathons, and community events, building personal brand and network
  • Demo a Python-based open-source framework live to technical audiences and answer substantive ML engineering questions
  • Create technical content including blog posts, demo videos, and social media grounded in community feedback
  • Build automated workflows connecting CRM, enrichment tools, product analytics, and GitHub data for lead scoring and follow-up
  • Feed market intelligence and developer pain points from the community directly back to product and GTM strategy

What they're looking for

  • Developer relations or community building (1–3+ years experience)
  • Event hosting and technical community launch from scratch
  • Python fluency and ability to demo frameworks; API integration and code literacy
  • GTM tooling proficiency: CRM platforms, data enrichment (Clay), automation workflows
  • Product analytics (Mixpanel) and GitHub signals measurement
  • Technical content creation: blog posts, videos, social media for developers
  • Systems thinking and process automation
  • Self-directed execution in early-stage, scrappy environments
