About this role

A seed-stage AI developer tools startup is seeking a Pre-Sales Deployed Engineer to blend sales and technical expertise in enterprise deal closure. You'll lead 4-week technical pilots, deliver demos and training, pair-program with customers, and gather feedback to influence product direction—all while partnering closely with Account Executives to close deals.

What you'll do

  • Present product vision and differentiators to stakeholders across all levels, from developers to C-suite executives
  • Design and execute 4-week technical pilots with prospective customers' engineering teams
  • Lead technical product discussions, demonstrations, and pair-programming sessions with customer engineers
  • Deliver technical training and live demos; create documentation and enablement resources for enterprise developers
  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback to inform Product and Engineering roadmap decisions
  • Travel to customer sites and industry events to support sales engagements

  • Pre-sales or solutions engineering for technical/developer tools
  • Strong programming ability in object-oriented languages with pair-programming experience
  • Hands-on experience with AI-powered developer tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, LLM-based platforms)
  • Technical training delivery and customer-facing documentation creation
  • Clear communication of technical concepts to developers at all skill levels
  • German and English fluency
  • Executive presence and ability to engage C-suite stakeholders
  • Enterprise software sales mindset and closing ability
