About this role

Build full-stack fintech features at a consumer-focused company enabling early wage access and credit building. You'll own implementations end-to-end, from domain modeling through production deployment, working with an event-driven backend and shipping daily in a fast-paced startup environment.

What you'll do

  • Design and build backend features end-to-end including domain models, business logic, and API integrations
  • Drive data-driven iteration and deployment toward product milestones using a rapid CI/CD pipeline
  • Monitor system and product performance using SQL and analytics tools
  • Test and debug complex state machines in event-driven systems with pub/sub messaging
  • Own production deployments and respond to incidents, shipping to production daily
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business leaders on high-impact features

What they're looking for

  • Backend development (3+ years production experience)
  • RESTful API design and consumption (auth, authorization, rate limiting)
  • Event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
  • Relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and query optimization
  • CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, and code review
  • State machine debugging in event-driven systems
  • Computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, system design)
  • Go and GCP deployment (preferred)
