Security Engineer
About this role
Build a security program from the ground up at an early-stage AI/ML infrastructure company serving frontier labs and enterprises. Lead incident response, threat modeling, compliance, and detection systems while securing APIs, cloud infrastructure, and sensitive data platforms.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end detection and incident response, including investigation, postmortem analysis, and engineering fixes
- Own the complete security roadmap across product, infrastructure, compliance, and incident response
- Secure APIs and data systems through threat modeling, code reviews, authentication controls, and secrets management
- Build and operate monitoring and detection capabilities using SIEM/XDR tools
- Own SOC 2 compliance, control design, security questionnaires, and vendor audits
- Design and implement data protection controls for access, retention, deletion, and auditability
