About this role
Coinbase seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed within the FP&A and Treasury organization, identifying high-impact automation opportunities and rapidly prototyping AI-driven solutions. You'll bridge Finance stakeholders and engineering teams, owning the Finance automation roadmap while ensuring compliance, auditability, and measurable adoption across the organization.
What you'll do
- Embed with FP&A and Treasury leadership to identify high-leverage automation opportunities in workflows like period-end close, variance analysis, and liquidity stress-testing
- Rapidly prototype solutions using Coinbase's existing AI platform before recommending net-new builds
- Own and drive the Finance automation roadmap in partnership with FP&A and Treasury leadership
- Define build-vs-buy strategy for Finance tooling, evaluating internal development, vendor adoption, or retirement
- Ensure automated financial outputs maintain traceability, auditability, and SOX compliance with human-in-the-loop controls
- Drive adoption through brown-bags, prototype walkthroughs, and feedback loops with Finance teams
