IT Service Desk Engineer
About this role
Coinbase seeks an experienced IT Service Desk Engineer to handle complex Tier 2 technical support escalations for a global workforce. You'll troubleshoot hardware, software, and cloud platform issues while driving process improvements through automation and documentation in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
What you'll do
- Own Tier 2 troubleshooting and resolution for hardware, software, networking, and access issues while meeting SLAs
- Administer and support Google Workspace, Atlassian, Okta, Jamf, Slack, and compliance workflows across 1,000+ users
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring or high-impact issues and drive corrective actions
- Build and maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base content to reduce repeat tickets
- Partner with IT Operations, Security, IAM, and vendors to resolve advanced issues and improve service delivery
- Identify support trends and implement automation or process improvements to reduce manual work

- Tier 2 technical support across macOS, iOS, Chrome OS, Android, Windows, and AWS Workspaces
- Enterprise administration of Google Workspace, Atlassian, Okta, Jamf, and Slack
- Root cause analysis and SLA management in high-volume environments
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
- Scripting, automation, and workflow tooling for operational efficiency
- Support metrics analysis and documentation development
- Generative AI tools (LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) with responsible human-in-the-loop oversight
- Cross-functional collaboration in agile IT environments
