A1 Audio Engineer, Live Events

About this role

Convene Hospitality Group seeks an experienced A1 Audio Engineer to design and operate sound systems for high-end live events across Manhattan venues, including galas, conferences, fashion shows, and corporate gatherings. You'll manage audio production from setup through execution, ensuring flawless sound quality for discerning clients in a fast-paced, flexible shift-based role.

What you'll do

• Set up, test, and operate audio equipment including microphones, mixing consoles, speakers, and playback devices for live events
• Monitor and adjust audio levels, equalization, and parameters to maintain optimal sound quality throughout events
• Troubleshoot and resolve audio technical issues quickly during productions to minimize disruptions
• Collaborate with event coordinators, production teams, and clients to understand requirements and deliver exceptional audio experiences
• Inspect, maintain, and perform routine repairs on audio equipment to ensure reliable operation
• Document audio setups, configurations, and equipment inventory; adhere to safety protocols
