Cybersecurity Engineer
About this role
CPI Security seeks a hands-on Cybersecurity Engineer to lead security operations across detection, investigation, and incident response in a hybrid on-premises and cloud environment. The role involves triaging security alerts, tuning detection systems, managing identity and endpoint security, and partnering with infrastructure teams to strengthen overall security posture.
What you'll do
- Triage, investigate, and remediate security alerts and incidents with documentation
- Tune detection tools and reduce false positives to improve alert accuracy
- Administer and secure Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID in hybrid environments
- Perform incident response, root-cause analysis, and vulnerability remediation
- Investigate security issues across endpoints, servers, networks, email, and cloud systems
- Identify automation and process improvement opportunities for security operations
