Design Engineer

About this role

Join Cursor's founding team as a Design Engineer to create the UI and interactions for an AI-powered code editor. You'll bridge design and engineering, building polished components and prototyping features that make coding automation accessible to professional developers.

What you'll do

• Build production-quality UI components and interactions with pixel-perfect execution
• Rapidly prototype new concepts to validate ideas before full implementation
• Translate designs into code while pushing technical boundaries of the product
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to define product possibilities
• Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries
• Own the quality and polish of UI implementation across the product
