About this role

d-Matrix seeks a Contract Site Reliability Engineer to manage physical infrastructure and hardware operations for AI accelerator development. You'll own server deployment, hardware bring-up, asset tracking, and troubleshooting across on-premises labs and colocation facilities, working independently while supporting fast-moving silicon and software teams.

What you'll do

  • Rack, cable, and manage servers, network gear, and storage in labs and colocation facilities; execute hardware bring-ups including BIOS configuration and OS installation
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory using DCIM tools; track hardware lifecycle, manage RMA workflows, and coordinate equipment moves between locations
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware failures, power, thermal, and network issues; serve as first responder for infrastructure incidents requiring hands-on intervention
  • Write and maintain SOPs, rack diagrams, and cabling guides; document troubleshooting actions and contribute to knowledge base systems
  • Support multiple concurrent workstreams; operate independently and communicate status across hardware, software, SRE, and silicon validation teams
  • Replace and upgrade components including PCIe cards, NICs, storage, memory, and accelerators across server generations
