About this role
SpaceX seeks an EDA Engineer to support and enhance IC design tools and workflows for Starlink's silicon development teams. You'll maintain reliable EDA environments, troubleshoot design flows, manage PDKs, and automate recurring tasks across analog/RF and digital design processes.
What you'll do
- Support day-to-day EDA workflows for RFIC and silicon teams, including tool setup, PDK usage, simulation, and physical verification
- Triage and debug DRC, LVS, PEX, simulation, and licensing issues using reproducible methodologies
- Maintain and improve tool wrappers, setup scripts, environment modules, and onboarding documentation
- Build automation scripts in Python, Tcl, SKILL, or shell for log collection, health checks, and issue reduction
- Create and execute QA tests for PDK updates, tool upgrades, and flow changes before deployment
- Partner with design, verification, IT, and foundry teams to resolve blocked workflows and improve methodology
