About this role
Dark Wolf seeks a Tier 2 IT Support Engineer to handle escalated technical issues across corporate networks, cloud environments, and endpoint systems in a national security contractor setting. You'll troubleshoot complex infrastructure challenges, maintain security compliance, and collaborate with internal security and engineering teams while supporting diverse operating systems and cloud platforms.
What you'll do
- Escalate and resolve advanced hardware, software, network, and cloud access issues from Tier 1 support
- Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi infrastructure
- Deploy, patch, and secure Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints using MDM and EDR solutions
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles, SOPs, and automated scripts for IT workflows
- Collaborate with security, DevOps, and engineering teams to ensure zero-trust compliance

- Cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS, Azure)
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, firewalls)
- Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)
- Independent troubleshooting and technical problem-solving
- Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- NIST or corporate security compliance frameworks
- Customer service and stakeholder communication
