About this role

Datadog seeks a Commercial Sales Engineer 2 to lead technical evaluations and demonstrations that guide customers through their buying journey. You'll partner with sales teams to translate complex infrastructure and observability solutions into business value, while building credibility with both technical and executive stakeholders.

What you'll do

  • Conduct technical discovery and deliver customized product demonstrations that align customer challenges with Datadog's platform capabilities
  • Independently own and manage proof-of-concept (POC) evaluations from initiation through completion
  • Partner with Account Executives to articulate value propositions and technical strategy throughout the sales cycle
  • Build relationships with customer technical stakeholders while communicating business outcomes to decision-makers
  • Identify and resolve technical blockers while managing multiple concurrent evaluations
  • Mentor junior Sales Engineers and contribute to team enablement and best practice sharing
