Technical Escalations Engineer 2 (Logs) - US-East

About this role

Join Datadog's Technical Escalation Engineering team as a specialized expert in log management and observability. You'll investigate complex customer issues, mentor support teams, and partner with engineering to shape the platform's evolution while becoming the go-to authority on log ingestion, processing, and troubleshooting.

What you'll do

• Investigate and resolve complex log-related escalations including parsing failures, missing logs, and pipeline misconfigurations
• Lead high-stakes technical calls and fact-finding meetings with enterprise customers to drive urgent solutions
• Mentor Global Support Engineering teams through office hours and learning sessions to build technical capability
• Build diagnostic tools, internal guides, and reusable workflows to enable independent troubleshooting
• Partner with Engineering and Product teams to identify platform gaps and advocate for customer-driven improvements
• Develop and maintain deep expertise in Datadog Logs features including cold storage, live tail, and usage controls
