About this role
Mercor seeks a Backend Engineer to build core platform systems for contracts and identity & access management. You'll develop secure, scalable infrastructure supporting expert workflows, payouts, and fraud prevention while maintaining high reliability and ownership standards.
What you'll do
- Build backend infrastructure for contract workflows, payments, and fraud detection systems
- Design and maintain identity and access provisioning systems for just-in-time access
- Improve security, reliability, and developer ergonomics across platform services
- Translate operational requirements into scalable backend services with cross-functional partners
- Contribute to high-priority platform initiatives across the engineering organization
- Own foundational systems that support multiple business functions
