About this role

Varda seeks a Space Electrical Engineer to design, integrate, and test avionics systems for the Winnebago spacecraft, a commercial in-orbit vehicle. What you'll do

  • Design electrical architecture, system diagrams, and power/telemetry budgets aligned with vehicle objectives
  • Analyze avionics architectures for faults and risks, developing mitigation strategies and FDIR solutions
  • Conduct comprehensive verification testing on flight and HITL hardware for launch and mission readiness
  • Oversee avionics system integration and act as primary contact for integrated systems investigations
  • Design, build, and operate Hardware-in-the-Loop testbeds to simulate spacecraft performance
  • Develop ground infrastructure including test racks and support mission operations as an avionics specialist
