About this role

DDN seeks a Sales Engineer to design and architect high-performance storage solutions for demanding AI, HPC, and data-intensive workloads. You'll partner with customers across finance, pharma, and research to translate complex requirements into scalable storage systems, conduct POCs and benchmarks, and serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle.

What you'll do

  • Partner with customers to understand critical data challenges in trading, genomics, AI training, and autonomous systems
  • Architect storage solutions for AI/ML, HPC simulations, and GPU-accelerated workloads with emphasis on performance and reliability
  • Design BOMs, system architectures, and technical proposals for complex RFPs and integrate with GPU clusters and cloud platforms
  • Conduct live demos, POCs, and performance benchmarking to validate solution capabilities
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams using field insights to shape product direction
  • Mentor team members and contribute to technical thought leadership on AI infrastructure trends
