Platform Engineer (ComD158)
About this role
Remote Platform Engineer role supporting U.S. government contractors (requires U.S. citizenship). You'll manage Unicorn Delivery Service deployments across cloud and on-prem Kubernetes environments, create Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, and serve as the primary technical contact for customer onboarding and training. This is an early-stage opportunity to shape processes, influence product direction, and mentor a growing team.
What you'll do
- Deploy and operate UDS environments on AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and on-premises Kubernetes clusters while ensuring uptime
- Develop custom UDS packages and infrastructure-as-code modules using Terraform or OpenTofu
- Serve as primary technical interface for customers, conducting onboarding sessions and delivering training content
- Troubleshoot complex UDS issues, meet SLA commitments, and provide on-call support
- Gather customer feedback and translate insights into product and engineering improvements
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and optimize deployment strategies
