Metrology Programmer
About this role
Entry-level metrology role at an advanced manufacturing company specializing in adaptive production systems for automotive, aerospace, and defense. You'll learn to operate 3D scanning equipment (ZEISS Inspect, PolyWorks, GOM/ATOS) and develop inspection programming skills while supporting quality assurance across complex integrated structures.
What you'll do
- Operate automated and manual scanning equipment and extract advanced inspections
- Interpret engineering documentation including 2D drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and specifications
- Program and execute dimensional inspections using conventional tools and optical systems
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to troubleshoot part conditions
- Maintain and improve metrology program libraries, templates, and best practices
- Communicate non-conformances and inspection results clearly to cross-functional teams
