About this role
Inversion seeks a Structures Engineer II to lead primary and secondary structure design for advanced reentry vehicles, managing projects from concept through production. You'll collaborate across mechanical and cross-functional teams to solve complex aerospace engineering challenges while driving designs toward flight-ready hardware.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end development of primary and secondary structures for reentry vehicles
- Drive primary structure design for novel reentry vehicle with focus on packaging and manufacturability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering problems
- Manage structures projects from initial concept through qualification and production
- Develop designs informed by thermal, aerodynamic, and mission requirements
- Support hardware manufacturing and testing phases
