About this role

Join DoorDash's Traffic team to design and operate critical infrastructure that handles communication between thousands of services at massive scale. You'll work on Envoy, xDS control planes, and proxyless architecture while ensuring 24/7 reliability for latency-sensitive logistics systems.

What you'll do

  • Design and build large-scale distributed systems handling high request rates and latency-sensitive workloads
  • Troubleshoot and fix production issues while maintaining SLAs across critical traffic infrastructure
  • Collaborate with platform and product engineers to deliver feature requests and solve technical problems
  • Participate in shared on-call rotation and lead production incident investigations
  • Improve team productivity through automation, AI tools, and operational enhancements
  • Develop and maintain Envoy Data Plane, xDS control planes, and proxyless architecture components
