Quantitative Developer
About this role
DRW is seeking a Quantitative Developer to join an early-stage systematic trading team building mid-frequency strategies powered by machine learning and high-performance software. You'll design core research and trading platforms, collaborate with quantitative researchers, and own systems from prototype to live production in a fast-moving environment.
What you'll do
- Design and build research and trading platforms including data pipelines, backtesting frameworks, and research APIs
- Implement quantitative studies and translate researcher ideas into production systems
- Develop and productionize machine learning models through the full lifecycle from training to deployment and monitoring
- Build reliable data infrastructure for large historical and real-time datasets with emphasis on correctness and reproducibility
- Optimize performance and scalability of computationally intensive workloads
- Establish foundational architecture, development practices, and operational standards for the growing team

- Python and/or C++ for production software
- Strong computer science fundamentals and software design
- UNIX/Linux systems administration and operating systems knowledge
- Machine learning model development and productionization
- Data pipeline and infrastructure design
- Debugging, testing, and performance analysis
