About this role

ENSCO Avionics seeks a Software Engineer III to join the Engineering Process Quality group, focusing on avionic software and firmware certification aligned with DO-178C and DO-254 standards. You'll mentor engineering teams, bridge communications with customers, and develop process solutions while managing requirements and test documentation in configuration management systems.

What you'll do

  • Support avionic software and firmware certification processes following DO-178C and DO-254 standards
  • Mentor engineering systems groups and act as liaison between internal teams and external customers during stage of involvement cycles
  • Review formal requirements and software test cases, procedures, and results for compliance
  • Interpret and develop process solutions for new programs and manage existing processes
  • Manage requirements, test procedures, and results in configuration management systems with DOORS traceability
  • Collaborate with avionic software and process quality engineers across cross-functional teams

  • Formal requirements analysis and software test case review
  • Software Quality Assurance (SQA) or Engineering Process Quality (EPQ) experience
  • Configuration management systems (DOORS, RAZOR, Synergy, GitHub)
  • Embedded software environments (VxWorks or similar real-time systems)
  • Test equipment scripting languages (Python, CsGTI)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
