About this role
Etched seeks a Product Quality Engineer to establish and oversee quality assurance systems across suppliers and contract manufacturers for advanced AI hardware servers and racks. You'll drive inspection strategies, resolve manufacturing issues, and ensure all systems meet performance and reliability standards before shipment.
What you'll do
- Lead quality assurance across semiconductor, PCB/A, component suppliers, and server/rack manufacturers in the US and overseas
- Establish and maintain IQC, IPQC, and OQC processes with inspection criteria and quality gates throughout production
- Partner with suppliers on SMT processes including SPI, AOI, and X-ray inspection to ensure defect prevention
- Drive failure analysis and structured corrective/preventive actions using 8D, CAPA, and FMEA methodologies
- Track and report quality metrics including yield, Cpk, defect density, and DPPM to drive continuous improvements
- Conduct supplier audits and participate in ECO reviews and new product introduction (NPI) quality gates
