About this role
Forward Deployed Engineer at Exa, a $2.2B AI-era search engine startup, combining technical development with customer-facing sales. You'll embed with customer engineering teams to drive API integrations from cold outreach through production deployment, shipping code and closing deals across multiple accounts.
What you'll do
- Own customer journey from initial outreach through production integration and deal closure
- Build and deploy demos, tutorials, and sample applications showcasing Exa's API capabilities
- Debug and resolve full-stack technical issues across customer deployments
- Translate customer feedback into product improvements and ship fixes when needed
- Conduct weekly sales and technical calls with CTOs, engineers, and product managers
- Monitor usage data and customer interactions to identify churn risks and expansion opportunities
