Field Application Engineer - Temporary Part Time
About this role
Field AI seeks a technically skilled Field Application Engineer to lead customer deployments of autonomous robotic systems including quadrupeds, rovers, and humanoids. You'll serve as the primary technical contact between customers and engineering teams, managing deployments, troubleshooting complex systems in live environments, and driving project execution across multiple concurrent engagements.
What you'll do
- Serve as primary technical point of contact for customers during deployment, testing, and operational phases
- Develop deployment plans, timelines, and operational procedures for autonomous robotic systems
- Deploy and supervise advanced robotic systems in customer field environments
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, autonomy, networking, and systems integration issues in live settings
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, customers) to ensure successful project outcomes
- Evaluate field performance data and communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders
