About this role
Fivetran seeks a Customer Support Engineer for the API Connector Team to provide technical support for data pipeline customers. You'll troubleshoot complex issues, collaborate with development teams, and become a subject matter expert on Fivetran's API connectors while serving as customers' technical advocate.
What you'll do
- Deliver virtual technical support to Fivetran customers and partners on API connector issues
- Investigate and troubleshoot technical problems using logs, tools, and product knowledge
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve bugs impacting customers
- Build expertise in Fivetran API Connectors and related data technologies
- Document solutions and known issues in the knowledge base for team reference
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through timely issue resolution and communication
What they're looking for
- 2+ years relevant professional experience
- Strong customer advocacy and communication skills (written and verbal)
- API troubleshooting experience (making requests, interpreting responses, reading documentation)
- Networking fundamentals knowledge (TCP/IP model)
- SQL and NoSQL database experience with basic SQL proficiency
- Data warehouse infrastructure familiarity (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Log analysis and debugging capabilities
- GitHub navigation and pull request experience
