About this role
Flock is seeking an Associate Wireless Software Engineer to join its Connectivity Engineering team in Atlanta, supporting the development of wireless infrastructure for autonomous drone systems. You'll work on Wi-Fi and cellular stacks, integrate radio hardware, and develop Linux-based software while learning from senior mentors in a fast-paced environment focused on public safety technology.
What you'll do
- Develop and optimize Wi-Fi and cellular software stacks for drone connectivity systems
- Integrate radio hardware into autonomous flight platforms and test in real-world environments
- Write Linux user-space and driver-level code to support wireless communications
- Extract and log radio statistics (RSSI, SNR, packet loss) to centralized databases
- Collaborate with RF, systems, device software, and cloud engineering teams on integrated solutions
- Contribute to end-to-end wireless system design for non-line-of-sight terrestrial and aerial deployments
