About this role

Fluidstack is seeking a Commissioning Electrical Engineer to lead pre-commissioning through Level 5 testing for high-voltage, medium-voltage, and low-voltage electrical systems across multiple hyperscale data center sites. You'll own the commissioning program end-to-end, coordinating contractors and vendors while ensuring all electrical systems meet design intent before going live.

What you'll do

  • Lead commissioning from pre-commissioning through Level 5 for HV/MV/LV electrical systems including generators, transformers, UPS, switchgear, and PDUs across multiple sites
  • Develop and review Testing & Verification programs with commissioning agents to confirm systems meet design and operational requirements
  • Act as owner's commissioning lead, coordinating general contractors, designers, and vendors across concurrent projects
  • Execute site commissioning end-to-end: inspections, safety enforcement, progress tracking, and issue resolution from first energization through functional testing
  • Lead final operational handover with complete test records and documentation ready for live service
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical startup issues under time pressure and trace faults through control schemes

  • HV/MV/LV electrical system commissioning at hyperscale or mission-critical data centers
  • Generator, switchgear, transformer, UPS, and ATS/STS commissioning experience
  • End-to-end commissioning phase management and factory witness testing
  • Multi-project coordination and stakeholder management
  • Technical documentation and clear report writing
  • ASHRAE or BCxA commissioning guidelines knowledge
  • PLC and EPMS control systems
  • NETA test specifications
