About this role
Lead fire life safety commissioning for Fluidstack's massive AI data center buildout, managing functional testing, code compliance, and stakeholder coordination across mission-critical facilities. You'll own the end-to-end commissioning process from design review through occupancy, interfacing with authorities and directing subcontractors on fire alarm, suppression, smoke control, and emergency systems.
What you'll do
- Take technical ownership of fire life safety commissioning from test planning through facility occupancy
- Execute functional performance testing for fire alarm, smoke control, emergency power, and suppression systems
- Lead AHJ inspections and coordinate directly with code officials and testing sequences
- Develop commissioning scripts, checklists, and plans; review contractor submittals for NFPA compliance
- Conduct commissioning-focused design reviews and coordinate fire life safety scope across disciplines
- Compile documentation, track punch items, and present status updates to stakeholders
