Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, Capacity Delivery
About this role
Fluidstack seeks a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to oversee the commissioning of mechanical systems across gigawatt-scale AI data centers, including chilled water plants, liquid cooling loops, and airside systems. You'll develop and execute rigorous test procedures, conduct integrated systems testing with controls and electrical teams, and drive standardization to accelerate commissioning at future sites.
What you'll do
- Commission mechanical systems (chilled water plants, CDUs, liquid loops, airside) from Level 2 through Level 5 across gigawatt-scale data centers
- Write and execute comprehensive test scripts that validate capacity, redundancy, and failure response beyond basic equipment operation
- Conduct functional and integrated systems tests with controls and electrical teams to ensure building-level performance
- Troubleshoot live mechanical systems under vendor and schedule pressure to resolve commissioning issues
- Document test findings and feed insights back into standard designs to accelerate future site commissioning
- Develop and scale commissioning procedures and automation for 50+ GW of capacity deployment
