About this role

Fluidstack is seeking a Paint Line / Surface Treatment Engineer to own the design, commissioning, and operation of industrial coating systems for data center infrastructure. You'll optimize pretreatment chemistry, coating application, and cure processes while maintaining quality standards and environmental compliance at production scale.

What you'll do

  • Design and optimize paint line processes including pretreatment, coating application, and cure cycles
  • Commission coating lines and qualify coatings with suppliers against performance specifications
  • Troubleshoot and solve adhesion, contamination, and cure issues to root cause
  • Manage pretreatment chemistry and supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality
  • Maintain compliance with air permits and environmental regulations while meeting appearance and adhesion standards
  • Conduct testing to industry standards and act on results to improve process and product
