About this role
Fluidstack is seeking a Data Center Structural Engineer to support the design and execution of massive-scale AI compute infrastructure across multiple sites. You'll oversee structural engineering from site selection through construction, managing geotechnical assessments, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring cost-effective, constructable designs for next-generation data centers.
What you'll do
- Lead structural engineering oversight across multiple data center development sites from screening through construction completion
- Evaluate geotechnical reports and translate soil/seismic data into structural design requirements
- Develop and maintain structural standards, basis of design documents, and coordinate across civil, geotechnical, and MEP teams
- Manage external structural engineers of record through design phases and quality reviews
- Assess structural due diligence for new and conversion sites including foundation conditions and retrofit complexity
- Identify structural cost and constructability risks early in site selection process
