Robotics Field Service Engineer

About this role

Formic seeks a Robotics Field Service Engineer to provide on-site and remote technical support for deployed robotic manufacturing systems. You'll diagnose failures, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure system uptime across customer facilities while building strong client relationships.

What you'll do

• Diagnose and resolve robotic system failures both remotely and on-site to restore production quickly
• Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on robotic manufacturing cells
• Provide hands-on technical training and support to customer operators and maintenance teams
• Document service activities, root cause analysis, and maintenance logs in CMMS systems
• Identify recurring failure patterns and escalate systemic risks to internal teams
• Coordinate field scheduling and support with customers, vendors, and stakeholders

What they're looking for

• Field service troubleshooting for robotic and automation systems
• Electrical, mechanical, PLC, and robotic control system diagnostics
• Reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and pneumatic drawings
• CMMS platform experience for maintenance tracking
• Clear technical documentation and communication
• Safety compliance and LOTO procedures
• 6-axis robot brands (Fanuc, KUKA, Yaskawa, ABB, Universal Robots preferred)
• Spanish language (bonus)
