About this role

Formlabs seeks a Robotic Systems Integration Engineer to bring together firmware and hardware subsystems for 3D printing products used in dental and industrial applications. You'll manage the full integration lifecycle from R&D through shipped products, collaborating with design teams to resolve cross-disciplinary challenges and deliver quality systems.

What you'll do

  • Integrate firmware and hardware subsystems through prototyping and optimize system performance against requirements
  • Document system architectures with system architects, defining subsystem interfaces and control algorithms
  • Manage subsystem and system-level requirements, tracking changes throughout development
  • Design and execute test plans to validate subsystem and full-system requirements, analyzing results
  • Debug hardware issues and recommend corrective actions to improve system performance
  • Design electro-mechanical subsystems and establish cross-functional interfaces
