About this role
Formlabs seeks a Supplier Industrialization Engineer to qualify suppliers, manage new product introductions, and optimize the supply chain for 3D printing technology. You'll work cross-functionally with R&D and suppliers worldwide to balance cost, quality, and reliability while driving manufacturing excellence.
What you'll do
- Identify and qualify suppliers for new product introductions in collaboration with R&D
- Own Plan for Every Part (PFEP) strategies, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution
- Lead supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness while tracking progress for senior leadership
- Conduct cost modeling, estimation, and data analysis for new products
- Develop process quality plans, perform supplier audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Travel internationally (up to 20%) for supplier quality audits, business reviews, and relationship building
