About this role
Gotion Inc. seeks a Warehouse & Logistics Engineer to design and optimize warehouse operations and internal logistics flows for their new Illinois battery manufacturing facility. The role combines engineering analysis with hands-on warehouse management to improve material flow, reduce costs, and support production schedules in a fast-growing EV battery company.
What you'll do
- Design and implement engineering solutions for material flow, warehouse layout, racking systems, and equipment selection
- Optimize internal and external (3PL) warehouse operations, monitoring inventory accuracy and availability
- Analyze warehouse data to identify bottlenecks and develop data-driven improvement plans
- Lead implementation and optimization of WMS and ERP/SAP systems with material handling technology integration
- Evaluate and specify material handling equipment (forklifts, conveyors, racking, automation) for safety and efficiency
- Develop SOPs, provide training, and drive continuous improvement using lean/Six Sigma methodologies
