About this role

Graphcore seeks a recent graduate firmware engineer to develop low-level embedded firmware for advanced AI compute systems in Austin. You'll design, test, and validate firmware across the full development lifecycle while collaborating with hardware and software teams in a Linux environment.

What you'll do

  • Design, implement, test, and maintain system and embedded firmware in C, C++, or Python
  • Own defined firmware features from requirements through implementation, validation, and documentation
  • Develop and debug firmware in Linux environments using diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Create automated tests and scripts to improve firmware validation and test coverage
  • Conduct hardware bring-up, lab setup, and system validation on development platforms
  • Investigate firmware behavior and hardware-software interactions to identify and fix root causes
