Graduate Systems Engineer
About this role
Graphcore is seeking a recent graduate or early-career engineer to join the Hardware Platform Development team in Austin, contributing to the design, validation, and performance analysis of advanced AI compute platforms. You'll work cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, and systems engineers on subsystem integration, laboratory testing, and technical documentation.
What you'll do
- Design, integrate, and test CPU and high-speed I/O subsystems for advanced compute platforms
- Develop system-level validation plans, test procedures, scripts, and tools to improve coverage and data analysis
- Evaluate platform performance, power consumption, signal behavior, and reliability using laboratory measurements
- Investigate emerging I/O technologies such as PCIe 6.0 and 800G Ethernet for computing systems
- Support power, cooling, and energy-efficiency investigations including liquid-cooling systems
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate across teams to resolve integration problems
