Security Engineer (SOAR) - Mid-Atlantic region (Remote)
About this role
GuidePoint Security seeks a Security Engineer to design and deploy security automation workflows using SOAR platforms for enterprise clients. You'll leverage 5+ years of SOC experience and 3+ years of automation expertise to transform manual security processes into reliable, scalable orchestrated solutions across diverse security tooling ecosystems.
What you'll do
- Design and build security automation/orchestration workflows using SOAR platforms (Tines, Torq, or Cortex XSOAR)
- Integrate security and IT systems via REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON to enable end-to-end automation
- Decompose manual security processes into automated workflows with proper error handling and conditional logic
- Write Python scripts for custom logic, data transformations, and secure workflow operations
- Collaborate with clients to scope automation requirements and translate them into technical build plans
- Support SIEM, EDR/XDR, ticketing, threat intelligence, and email security tool integrations
