Applications Engineer
About this role
Hadrian seeks an Applications Engineer to develop cutting-edge machining solutions for autonomous aerospace and defense manufacturing. You'll drive process innovation, tackle complex NPI challenges, and establish manufacturing standards across multiple factories while collaborating with software, robotics, and operations teams.
What you'll do
- Develop manufacturing processes for aerospace components including machining strategy, tooling, workholding, and inspection
- Execute 0-1 new product introductions from design to production for new customers, materials, and part families
- Build automation, process control, and software workflows enabling lights-out production with minimal engineering oversight
- Establish machine, tooling, and process standards deployed across Hadrian factories
- Diagnose and resolve high-impact production failures across process, equipment, software, and operational domains
- Advise on tooling, workholding, process engineering, and contribute domain expertise to automated CAM programming software
