Associate Software Engineer, Operator Experience
About this role
Build internal tools and automation systems that help Handshake's operators run the business efficiently. You'll partner directly with operational teams to understand workflows, translate them into technical solutions, and own projects from implementation through production support in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
- Partner with operators to understand workflows, pain points, and translate needs into technical requirements
- Build internal tools, automations, and workflows that improve operational throughput, accuracy, and visibility
- Own well-scoped projects end-to-end: implementation, testing, rollout, and iteration with senior engineer guidance
- Write maintainable, well-tested code following established engineering practices for internal tools
- Collaborate with operators, engineers, and product teams to gather feedback and drive tool adoption
- Seek feedback proactively and grow technical judgment through code review and pairing with senior engineers
