About this role
Handshake seeks a Software Engineer II to own full-stack features across their career marketplace platform, working on systems that power job discovery, matching, and onboarding for millions of users. You'll drive features end-to-end, contribute to technical architecture, and collaborate closely with product and design in a fast-growing, high-impact environment.
What you'll do
- Own features end-to-end from technical design through production, spanning frontend and backend
- Build scalable full-stack systems for search, discovery, matching, and onboarding workflows
- Ship backend APIs, async workflows, and frontend experiences with high reliability and performance standards
- Contribute to architecture discussions and establish patterns for the team
- Proactively identify and address technical debt, reliability gaps, and performance bottlenecks
- Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into polished user experiences
