Detection & Response Security Engineer
About this role
Harvey is seeking a Detection & Response Security Engineer to build and lead their threat detection and incident response program. You'll combine offensive security expertise with software engineering to develop detection systems, threat models, and response capabilities for an AI platform serving Fortune 500 companies and law firms.
What you'll do
- Develop threat scenarios using offensive security expertise to identify detection opportunities
- Build data pipelines and logging infrastructure to support threat detection at scale
- Create and maintain detection rules in collaboration with D&R team members
- Lead incident response efforts when security incidents occur
- Assess logging gaps and implement additional observability as needed
- Participate in red team exercises and tabletop simulations to validate detection effectiveness
