Hunter Douglas seeks an Automation Projects Engineer to design and deploy automated manufacturing systems across North American plants. What you'll do

  • Design, program, and deploy PLCs, HMIs, robotics, vision systems, and industrial control networks
  • Lead automation scope definition, technical specifications, budgets, and timelines for new equipment and production initiatives
  • Manage multiple automation projects from concept through FAT/SAT, installation, and startup support
  • Drive vendor selection, RFQ coordination, and design reviews with external integrators
  • Support machine connectivity and MES/IT platform integration for data acquisition
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance cycle time and overall equipment effectiveness
