About this role
Hunter Douglas seeks an Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, plant layouts, and workforce planning at their Salt Lake City facility. You'll ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while collaborating on new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll do
- Conduct weekly safety walks and implement countermeasures for industrial engineering risks and ergonomic issues
- Develop and implement optimal plant, process, and packaging layouts to maximize efficiency
- Measure, audit, and define cycle times for all plant operations on a monthly basis
- Determine required headcount based on forecasted production volumes and validate during launch phases
- Lead multidisciplinary teams on industrial engineering studies, analyses, and new project launches
- Analyze and balance production lines, establish KPIs, and support the Engineering Site Lead on strategic IE topics
