About this role

iCapital seeks an experienced Software Developer in Test to build and maintain automated testing frameworks for their QA team. The role combines hands-on test engineering with technical leadership, requiring expertise in Java-based automation, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices testing within an agile environment.

What you'll do

  • Design and build robust automated test suites for functional, API, performance, and load testing
  • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD build and deployment pipelines
  • Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks to align with system architecture changes
  • Configure and implement automation tools including JIRA and testing frameworks
  • Manage defect workflows and coordinate test execution across teams
  • Develop and track meaningful metrics to measure automation effectiveness

  • Java programming with BDD and TDD methodologies
  • Test automation frameworks (Playwright, Protractor, JUnit, RestAssured)
  • CI/CD tools (Maven, Jenkins/TeamCity, Git, Docker, Sonar)
  • API and microservices testing with REST protocols
  • Performance and load testing (JMeter)
  • SQL and JavaScript
  • Agile SDLC and continuous integration practices
  • React front-end testing exposure
