About this role
impact.com seeks an Associate Software Engineer Intern to join an agile engineering squad in Santa Barbara, developing and maintaining their commerce partnership marketing platform. You'll write clean code, build comprehensive tests, and collaborate with distributed teams using Java, Spring, and modern cloud technologies while gaining practical experience in a high-growth environment.
What you'll do
- Write clean, maintainable code for the impact.com platform independently and through pair programming with senior engineers
- Create unit, functional, and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers on quarterly objectives
- Perform triage, verify bug reports, and implement fixes to maintain platform health
- Assist QA team with staging environment testing and resolve broken builds
- Develop expertise in squad technologies and support onboarding of new team members
