About this role

IEM seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer I to support the design-to-order engineering process for low-voltage power distribution products. You'll create 3D models and 2D drawings, manage BOMs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized mechanical solutions that meet client specifications and manufacturing standards.

What you'll do

  • Design and customize mechanical solutions for client-specific requirements with focus on manufacturability and compliance
  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings including customer coordination and fabrication documentation
  • Create and maintain BOMs for standard product assemblies and design-to-order projects
  • Review customer documentation, manage project timelines, and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to refine designs and develop manufacturable design standards
  • Provide technical support during manufacturing and installation phases
